Illustrations

You’ll find collections of images from my childhood (“Long Ago”) to more current work including both digital and traditional mediums. I’m always looking for the time to practice, to refine, to grow, to develop my own style.

Digital Practice

Van Gogh, Rubens, Rembrandt, artwork and illustrations found on the internet, basically these works are my attempt at self-education by copying the works and styles of the masters and other artists whose works I admire. The works here were created on an iPad with an Apple Pencil.

Seated Woman Facing Away

Description.

Not a quick sketch. By the time I did this I had quite a bit of practice with the iPad and Apple Pencil. I had gotten over some of the issues I have with the “lack of feel,” the “lack of physical paper texture.” I was able to create a fairly detailed final artwork.

Apologies on the video below. The very beginning is a bit distored and oriented wrong. I think I changed the orientation of the iPad, or the canvas inside the app at some point, which really seems to confuse the recording.
