Graphic Arts

I’m not sure I have an identifiable design aesthetic. Some of what I do is inspired, some miscellaneous, some serve a client, a brand, or work as a user interface or user experience element. Most of my work is a playful combination of photography, graphic design and vector graphics. All of it is fun to create.

Beer Labels

My wife and I have been brewing beer since 1995. Our first labels were created with a now extinct application called SuperPaint before moving on to Photoshop. The question is always – which will turn out better the label or the actual beer!

Jazz Mutt 2025

Description.

We didn’t brew a 2024 Jazz Mutt, but I’ve decided to do one this year. It’s been a bit of a tradition since 2015 to use left over ingredients from previous batches to brew an experiment!

This should be a high ABV beer we’ll see how it comes out. I has salted caramel syrup, vanilla and extra corn sugar. It also has bourbon wood chips.

The label background with the jazz mutts in the Renaissance setting was generated using the Bing AI image generator. The rest is Photoshop and should look familiar from previous jazz mutt labels

Looking forward to opening and sharing this beer at this year’s Saratoga Springs Jazz Fest.
