Illustrations

You’ll find collections of images from my childhood (“Long Ago”) to more current work including both digital and traditional mediums. I’m always looking for the time to practice, to refine, to grow, to develop my own style.

Digital Originals

My original works using an Apple iPad and Apple Pencil. It’s an interesting medium. I miss the tactile feel of pencil on paper. The lack of texture is disconcerting, but it is so convenient to carry one pad (iPad) and one pencil that is graphite, ink, paint, chalk, etc. etc. especially when traveling.

Flamenco Dancer

Description.

Inspired by Diane and my trip to Seville. We spent a week touring Seville’s cathedral, bullfight ring, museums, touring the Alcázar, the Plaza de España and treking all over the city. We’d then spend the siesta under an umbrellad table with a pitcher of sangria while Diane wrote in her journal and I’d sketch.

It was my Mom who helped me correct the sketch by letting me know I had initially drawn the hands too small. Interestingly a person’s hands are roughly the same size as their face – go ahead check for yourself!
